Details

Milford Pink granite stands as a distinguished natural stone selection, featuring a distinctive fine-grained composition with subtle pink hues and characteristic black mica accents. Quarried from Massachusetts, this premium stone delivers exceptional durability and weather resistance while maintaining its refined aesthetic appeal. Its proven longevity is exemplified in prestigious installations, including the Boston Public Library and Lincoln Memorial steps, demonstrating its enduring quality in both architectural landmarks and contemporary applications.

Tony acquired the Milford Pink quarry along with other holdings of the historic Fletcher Granite Company in the early 2000s. Fletcher Granite was one of the largest stone quarriers and fabricators in the country for over 100 years.

Milford Pink is one of the most historically prominent granites in American architecture. It can be found throughout Washington, D.C., Boston, and New York City. Unfortunately, this quarry also serves as a prime example of granite quarry erasure in our country. There were at least three holes that produced the same or nearly identical granite; however, those quarries were closed and sold, the holes filled in, and now highways, housing developments and strip malls sit on top of them. Our Milford Pink quarry is the last remaining.

Milford Pink granite built the National Archives Building in Washington D.C.; the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan and hundreds of thousands more square feet of this stone is found throughout these cities building magnificent architectural wonders erected over 100 years ago that will stand 100 years more ten-fold.

For discerning clients seeking a sophisticated material for countertops, facades, or custom architectural elements, Milford Pink granite offers an optimal balance of elegance and performance, backed by centuries of architectural heritage.
